The Natural Elegance of Murano Glass
The Oliva vase is a refined example of Venetian artistic craftsmanship, designed by Beniamino Mandruzzato, founder of the historic Mandruzzato glassworks. It is part of the Giardini Collection, created in the 1950s and inspired by the fluid forms of nature and the waters of Venice.
This vase, with its round, flattened shape, is handcrafted using authentic Murano glassmaking techniques: the glass is blown in a furnace and then worked with extreme precision in a glassblowing workshop, using diamond wheels to shape and decorate the surface.
The decoration, engraved on the outer sides, recalls the rippling motion of water, with reflections that change in the light, generating the typical gibigiane—plays of light that dance across the surfaces. The effect is organic, fluid, and natural: a true celebration of light and glass.
