Murano Glass Art

As a child growing up in Italy, I firmly believed that one day I would pursue a career in glass cutting; after all, I would one day take over the family business.

Although children were not allowed near fire, diamond wheels, or drills, I was fascinated from an early age, watching my family harmoniously produce works of extraordinary beauty with fine Murano glass.

To hone and perfect my carving skills as a professional craftsman, I participated in rigorous training and various workshops. After completing my training in 2000, I decided to blend my new skills with family traditions to establish myself as an independent sculptor.

It was then that I began mixing different materials with Murano glass to give it a contemporary touch, including wood, stainless steel, and a variety of precious metals. The entire process is designed to create unique works of art in Murano glass.

“Art isn’t in the tools,
the materials, or the equipment you use.
It’s how you see the world.”

“I continue my work in the belief that in Murano today, glass has become an expression of pure art to which artists dedicate themselves using the furnaces but without the constraints of serial production.”
