The Forcola Vase is a Murano glass creation born from the fusion of contemporary design and Venetian culture. Its name and shape are inspired by the forcola, the characteristic wooden tool used by gondoliers to support and guide the oar while rowing the gondola.
From this iconic shape emerges a vase with a sculptural and distinctive presence. The side lines evoke the profile of the forcola, reinterpreting its balance and elegance in an artistic key. The object thus becomes not only a decorative element but also a small tale of lagoon tradition.
What makes this vase even more special is the finish of its sides: like the Anfora vase, the sides feature a rippled texture, reminiscent of the gentle movement of the water’s surface. Light flows over these ripples, creating vibrant and shifting reflections, much like the play of light on the Venetian lagoon.
Each Forcola Vase is mouth-blown and crafted entirely by hand by Murano master glassmakers using the ancient techniques of the Murano glass tradition. The result is a unique object where artisanal skill meets artistic inspiration.
